Their has been speculation and many rumors of a re-release for the highly sought after Air Jordan 1 Retro Banned sneaker. Jordan Brand has dodged all questions on the Air Jordan 1 until now. Russell Westbrook and Jordan Brand confirmed the re-release via Twitter yesterday [Tuesday, July 19].
The Air Jordan 1 Retro Banned was released back in 2011 and since then has left many sneakerheads mind boggled on if they will ever get another opportunity to cop a pair of the kicks, one of the greatest Air Jordans to ever be released. Westbrook is seen holding the OG banned Air Jordan retro in the image above. The re-release will feature some slight changes that have not yet been revealed by Jordan Brand or Russell. The 2011 version of the Air Jordan 1 featured a white midsole with a red bottom that contrasted within the iconic red and black colorway.
